Eduardo Martin is a professor and a principle investigator at Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias, Spain. He is also an associate professor at the University of Central Florida. He juggles his time between Tenerife and Orlando.


Background

 

After completing his PhD at University of Laguna, Spain Eduardo Martin moved to Anton Pannekoek Institut, University of Amsterdam, Holland on a Marie Curie Postdoctoral fellowship. His next postdoctoral research took him to University of California at Berkeley, USA where he spend 2 years working with Dr. G Basri on formation and evolution of Brown Dwarfs. Between 1999 and 2000 he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Planetary Sciences, Caltech, USA.

 

Research Interests

 

Dr. Martin's research interest includes Astrobiology, Brown Dwarfs, Cool Stars, Exoplanets, Extremely Large Telescopes, Planet and Star Formation, Stellar Evolution and Spectroscopic Analysis.
